Overview
ZMT’s Hepatitis C Initiative is focused on combating the spread of Hepatitis C in underprivileged areas of Karachi. Through cost-free screenings, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment, the initiative strives to eradicate the disease while making healthcare easily accessible.

History and
Development
Program Started In: June 2019
Founding Story: Established by the Zubaida Machiyara Trust in collaboration with The Health Foundation (THF), and later strengthened through a partnership with Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), this program was created to meet the urgent need for Hepatitis C care in Karachi’s underserved regions. It has since expanded to 21 operational clinics, significantly improving community health outcomes.
