Protecting Communities Through Immunization
Program
Overview
At ZMT Clinics, we believe that vaccines are a cornerstone of public health. Our Free Vaccination and Immunization Center in Karachi is committed to protecting communities from preventable diseases by offering free vaccinations for children and adults.
Vaccines save lives. They protect against serious illnesses such as COVID-19, measles, whooping cough, hepatitis, and more. Our program focuses on reaching underserved populations, ensuring that everyone has access to life-saving vaccines regardless of financial or logistical barriers.
Through our network of 35 clinics across Karachi, we provide essential immunizations to children under five, pregnant women, and at-risk adults, as well as special campaigns during outbreaks to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
History and
Development
Program Started In: 2015
The ZMT Vaccination Program was launched in 2015 by the Zubaida Machiyara Trust to address low immunization rates in Karachi’s underprivileged communities. Partnering with public health authorities and key health organizations, the program has expanded significantly to offer vaccinations at multiple locations across the city.
Since inception, the program has aimed to reduce vaccine-preventable illnesses, improve overall community health, and educate families about the importance of immunization.

Importance of Vaccination
For Adults
Vaccines are not just for children. Adults are often at risk because:
- Most adults are not up to date with their vaccinations.
- Vaccines prevent serious health complications from diseases like hepatitis, meningitis, pneumococcal infections, and COVID-19.
- Immunization is essential for staying healthy during travel, work, and everyday activities.
- Adults who missed childhood vaccines or have medical conditions may be vulnerable to preventable illnesses.
Our free adult vaccination program includes vaccines for:
- Hemophilus Influenza Type B
- Hepatitis A & B
- Meningococcal
- Pneumococcal
- Tetanus
- Typhoid
- Chickenpox
- COVID-19
For Children
Thanks to medical advances, children today can be protected against more diseases than ever before. Delaying immunizations can leave children vulnerable to illnesses that were once common and potentially fatal.
Routine vaccinations are critical for:
- Preventing outbreaks of contagious diseases
- Protecting children from tuberculosis, polio, hepatitis, pneumonia, meningitis, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, rubella, and more
- Ensuring children grow up healthy and protected throughout life
Available vaccines for children under the EPI (Expanded Program on Immunization) include:
- Childhood Tuberculosis
- Polio
- Hepatitis B
- Diarrhea Cal
- Pneumonia & Meningitis
- Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis
- Hemophilus Influenza Type B
- Typhoid
- Measles & Rubella
Success Stories
Vaccine Safety
Vaccines are among the safest medicines available. They undergo rigorous testing before approval and continue to be monitored for side effects. While mild reactions such as soreness at the injection site or a low-grade fever are possible, severe reactions are extremely rare.
Our team at ZMT Clinics follows strict safety protocols to ensure that all vaccines are administered safely and effectively. Patients and parents can ask questions, discuss concerns, and receive guidance from trained healthcare professionals.
How Vaccines Work
Vaccines train the immune system to recognize and fight disease-causing organisms. Most people who are vaccinated gain immunity, protecting them and the broader community from outbreaks. Vaccination is a simple, effective way to prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death.
