Sponsor a clinic with ZMT Primary Healthcare Network and you keep a neighbourhood's doctor, medicines and tests available for the period you choose. Published options run from one day of patient care to a full year of a programme, and a mobile eye clinic.

Clinic sponsorship means you fund the running of a ZMT clinic, a mobile clinic or a programme inside a clinic for a set period, so patients in that neighbourhood keep receiving consultations, medicines and tests. ZMT publishes costs for a day of patient care, a mobile eye clinic and a year of mental health care.
ZMT is a not-for-profit primary healthcare network whose clinics run on donations and zakat from individual and corporate supporters, as its about page explains. That makes sponsorship different from a one-off gift. A sponsor takes responsibility for a defined piece of the work, for a defined time, and the clinic can plan around it.
Sponsorship suits donors who want to see a clear result: a named clinic, a programme or a vehicle that keeps serving patients. It is also one of the clearest forms of sadaqah jariyah, because the benefit continues for as long as the clinic keeps its doors open.
ZMT's published sponsorship costs run from Rs 1,200,000 a year for the Itmenaan mental health programme in one clinic to Rs 3,885,000 for a mobile eye clinic. The cost of a whole fixed clinic depends on its size and services, so ask ZMT for the current figure for the clinic you have in mind.

A ZMT clinic is a neighbourhood primary healthcare centre. Patients register, pass through nursing triage, see a doctor and leave with their medicines and any tests they need. Depending on the clinic, it also runs vaccination, malnutrition, hepatitis C or mental health services.
The focused programmes run at participating clinics rather than at every clinic: physiotherapy has one dedicated centre, eye care travels with four mobile clinics, and each programme page lists the clinics that take part. Consultations and lab tests are subsidised, and zakat covers patients who cannot pay.
Clinics and the office are open from 9am to 5pm. Their locations are concentrated in densely populated suburbs, where families have the least access to a doctor they can afford. The Karachi Wellness Map lists every clinic with its address.

A sponsor's money goes on what keeps a clinic open each day: clinical staff, medicines, laboratory tests, supplies and the premises. Across the network, ZMT's total operational expenses in 2023-24 were PKR 399,205,954, and the medicines consumed that year were worth PKR 126,332,976.
Those costs arrive every month, in Ramadan and out of it. Many people give in Ramadan, but rent, salaries and medicine orders do not wait for it. Sponsorship evens that out: a sponsor who has committed to a clinic or programme for a year lets ZMT hire, stock and schedule with confidence.
The results are public. Each programme page lists that year's screening and treatment figures, and ZMT's annual reports for every year since 2020-21 can be downloaded, so a sponsor can follow the work their money joins.
Sponsorship is open to anyone who wants to take on a defined piece of the work, for example:
From first call to first patient, sponsorship takes four steps.
Call 0323-2115770 or email info@zmtclinics.org with the kind of sponsorship you have in mind.
Choose a day of care, a mobile clinic, a programme or a clinic, and the period it covers.
Pay into ZMT's general donation account and upload the proof on the donation page for an e-receipt.
Track the programme's published figures and ZMT's annual report for the year you sponsored.

Before you commit, check four things: that the organisation is registered, that it keeps zakat and general funds in separate accounts, that it publishes annual reports, and that it issues a receipt for every payment. ZMT meets all four, and the documents are public.
Then agree the scope in writing before you transfer: the period, the clinic or programme, and the published figures you will use to follow it. A clear agreement protects you and lets the clinic plan.

In most cases, no. Hanafi scholars, whom most Muslims in Pakistan follow, hold that zakat must become the property of an eligible person, and a clinic's rent, salaries or equipment do not meet that test. Fund sponsorship with sadaqah or a general donation, and give zakat separately for eligible patients' treatment.
That split works in your favour. Sponsorship from sadaqah can pay for anything a clinic needs, from a new examination couch to a month's rent, while your zakat goes into ZMT's separate zakat account and is spent on screened patients, as described on the ZMT zakat page. If you follow another school of thought, ask a scholar you trust.

You can ask for one. ZMT's 33 clinics are spread across Karachi's densely populated suburbs, and many sponsors care about a particular neighbourhood, perhaps where their family grew up. Tell ZMT which area or clinic matters to you and ask what can be sponsored there.
If no single clinic is the priority, a programme sponsorship spreads your gift across several. The Itmenaan programme, for example, provides one to one counselling, community sessions and psychiatric care, and Rs 1,200,000 runs it in one clinic for a year.
A mobile eye clinic takes vision screening, eye assessments and referrals to the patients rather than waiting for them to travel. ZMT's four mobile clinics screened 29,434 people in 2023-24, found 5,689 vision problems and referred 4,812 patients for treatment. Sponsoring one costs Rs 3,885,000, according to the eye screening programme page.
Businesses can sponsor a clinic or programme as part of their social responsibility work, alongside cash grants, gifts in kind and employee volunteering. The corporate giving page covers documents, tax credits and reporting for companies.
ZMT quotes the cost of sponsoring a whole fixed clinic on request, because it depends on the clinic's size and services. Its published options are Rs 1,750,000 for one day of patient care across the network, Rs 1,200,000 for a year of the Itmenaan programme in one clinic, and Rs 3,885,000 for a mobile eye clinic.
Yes. ZMT's published figure for one day of patient care across its network is Rs 1,750,000. If that is more than you plan to give, you can sponsor part of a day with others, or choose a smaller costed gift such as Rs 2,000 for a week of therapeutic feeding for one child.
Yes. Friends, families, colleagues or a community committee can pool their gifts into one sponsorship, such as a year of the Itmenaan programme in a clinic. Agree who will be the contact with ZMT, use one transfer reference for everyone's payments, and upload each proof of payment on the donation page.
Yes. Sponsorship in memory of a parent or relative is a natural form of ongoing charity, because the clinic or programme keeps serving patients in their name. Write the name in the transfer reference and the donation form, and tell ZMT when you get in touch that the sponsorship is in memory of someone.
Yes, within limits. ZMT is approved under section 2(36)(c) of the Income Tax Ordinance, so sponsorship payments can qualify for a tax credit under section 61, capped as a share of taxable income. The guide to tax benefits of donating in Pakistan explains how to claim it.
Yes. Overseas donors can sponsor by international transfer to ZMT's general donation account, IBAN PK26MPBL0137027140162322, with SWIFT code MPBLPKKA037. Email info@zmtclinics.org first to agree the scope, then upload the transfer receipt on the donation page so an e-receipt can be issued.
A sponsorship lasts for the period you agree with ZMT. The published options cover one day of patient care and one year of the Itmenaan programme in a clinic. You could renew a yearly sponsorship each Ramadan or on a family anniversary.
Yes. ZMT accepts in-kind contributions as well as money, and sadaqah can buy equipment for a clinic. Call 0323-2115770 or email info@zmtclinics.org before buying anything, so the team can tell you what a clinic actually needs and how the item should be delivered.
Yes. Because a clinic keeps treating new patients long after the gift, sponsoring its running costs or a programme inside it is ongoing charity. Make the intention for yourself or for someone you have lost, and choose a sponsorship whose benefit continues, such as a year of a programme.
A mobile eye clinic brings vision screening, eye assessments, early detection of conditions such as cataract and glaucoma, and specialist referrals to patients in their own communities. ZMT runs four. In 2023-24 they screened 29,434 people and referred 4,812 for treatment. Sponsoring one costs Rs 3,885,000.
Yes. Tell ZMT which programme you would like to support when you get in touch. Published costs include Rs 5,000 for one child's complete vaccination and follow-up care, Rs 10,000 for a full recovery course for a child with severe acute malnutrition and Rs 7,000 for a hepatitis C PCR test.
Start by calling 0323-2115770 or emailing info@zmtclinics.org with what you would like to sponsor and for how long. ZMT will confirm the scope and cost. You then pay into the general donation account and upload the proof on the donation page to receive an e-receipt.
A day of care, a year of a programme or a mobile clinic on the road: tell ZMT what you would like to sponsor and the team will set out the options.
